5 Reasons why you should exercise in the morning!

Updated: Nov 28, 2020

Exercise has a lot of health benefits to your physical being and also your mental being. You don't have to run 10 miles or lift 150kg in the gym.

Basic bodyweight exercises like press-ups, sit-ups, star jumps, burpees, skippy rope for as little as 5-30 minutes is enough to get your heart rate going.

If you're new to exercise don't worry my bodyweight exercises are FREE on my website / Instagram

Now let's begin with the first reason is.

1. Best Investment is in yourself

The most important thing in this world is TIME. Getting up 30 minutes before your usual alarm is all it takes. Prioritising exercise first thing in the morning means you put yourself first before all your other commitments which could take a lot of your time during the day. We are all surviving on borrowed TIME anyway, which leads me to my second point "feeling good".

2. Healthier and Happier Life

The good thing about exercise is that you exercise the most precious muscle ''The Cardiac Muscle". (your HEART) It gets stronger and efficient at pumping blood to the whole body. The better your cardiac output gets the easier exercise will become. Other systems like the respiratory system and the digestive system (metabolism) will also improve.

3. Mind body-body connection

Our bodies and our minds have a complex relationship. All governed by the Central Nervous System. If your mood is positive, confident and happy from early in the morning it allows optimum body function throughout the day and any thoughts or scenarios of negativity which may arise will be overpowered by the 'feel-good' momentum you built up earlier in the morning.

4. Look and feel good

A legend once said 'The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering' That legend was Bruce Lee. If you don't know who he was just imagine a lean, strong and very disciplined superhero. Exercise comes in a package with a GUARANTEE sticker which says Endorphins. Endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain and trigger a positive feeling in the body.

5. You're fresher in the morning

Sleep is for recovery and rejuvenation so , Exercising early in the morning means you will feel energised throughout the day. Feeling energised enables you to do all of your other physical activities more efficiently with ease and much quicker. This means you burn more calories on your walk to the local supermarket or going up the stairs.

Conclusion

If you have a busy schedule then this is the solution to your problem. It may be difficult at the beginning but trust me once this becomes a habit your days will become more productive and high-yielding. For every single disciplined effort has multiple rewards.
